Personal Website Pricing: Three Plans, No Hidden Scope
Every plan below is a fixed price for a fixed deliverable. You're not quoted an hourly rate and you're not upsold mid-project — what you see here is what you pay, plus hosting/domain if you want that handled too.
This matters more than it might sound. Most freelance and agency web work is quoted after a discovery call, once someone has a sense of how complicated your project might turn out to be — which means the number you hear at the start isn't always the number you pay at the end. A productized service works differently: the scope is decided in advance, the same for everyone at a given tier, so the price you see is the price you pay.

Starter — $99, One Page
A single, complete page: hero, about, work or skills, and a contact path — everything a personal website needs to do its job, compressed into one scrolling page. This is the right starting point if you need something live fast, or if your situation doesn't call for a multi-page structure yet — a job search, a quick professional presence to point people to, or a first real site after years of relying on a resume PDF and a LinkedIn profile.
Growth — $299, Four Pages
Room to separate the core jobs a single page compresses together — typically Home, About, Work/Services, and Contact as distinct pages, each with more depth than a single-page site can give any one of them. This tier fits freelancers, consultants, and anyone whose story or body of work has outgrown a one-page summary but doesn't yet need a large, multi-section site.
Pro — $499, Nine Pages
The full structure: dedicated pages for services or work categories, a more developed About section, and room for supporting content like a blog or resources section. This tier fits people with a broader professional presence to establish — executives, consultants with multiple service lines, or anyone who wants a site that can keep growing without needing a structural rebuild every time something new gets added.
What “Development Only” Means
You're paying for the build — the design, the copy structure, the sections, the responsive layout, and the underlying code that makes the site actually work on any device. Hosting and domain are not included in the base price, the same way most done-for-you web services separate a one-time build cost from the ongoing cost of keeping something live.
[Hosting/domain add-on price not yet defined — see PROGRESS.md.]
How to Pick the Right Tier
The honest answer is usually simpler than it feels while deciding. If you're not sure whether your situation needs more than one page, it probably doesn't yet — Starter covers the essentials, and upgrading later is always possible once you have a clearer sense of what's missing. If you already know you need distinct pages for different kinds of work, or a fuller professional story than one page can hold, Growth or Pro will save you from outgrowing the site almost immediately after launch.
What's the Same Across Every Tier
Regardless of which package you choose, every build gets the same underlying quality bar — a genuinely responsive layout that works across desktop, tablet, and mobile; a real, working contact path; and content written or refined specifically for you rather than filled in from a generic template. The tiers change scope, not the standard of the work itself.
Why Fixed Pricing Instead of a Custom Quote
A custom quote can make sense for a genuinely unusual project, but for the vast majority of personal websites, the actual scope of work falls into a fairly predictable range once you know the page count. Fixed pricing exists because that predictability is real — not because the underlying work is being cut short to hit a number.
