The process

How It Works: From Sign-Up to Live Site

Five steps. No discovery calls required unless you specifically want one — most people go from checkout to a live site without ever needing to schedule a meeting.

This is deliberately different from how most freelance web projects run. There's no open-ended kickoff call to figure out scope, no separately billed discovery phase — the scope is already defined by the tier you chose, and the process below is the same regardless of what you're building or what field you're in.

1. Choose Your Plan

Pick Starter, Growth, or Pro on the Pricing page and check out through Stripe. You'll get an order confirmation by email right away, along with a link to the intake form that kicks off the actual build.

2. Fill Out the Intake Form

A short form: your info, what you do, examples of sites or styles you like, and any content you already have written (bio, photos, work samples). If you don't have polished copy yet, that's fine — tell us what you want to say and we'll draft it into something ready to publish. The more specific this form is, the closer the first draft usually lands to what you actually wanted.

3. Review Your Draft

You get a live preview link, not a static mockup — you can click through the actual site, on your own devices, before it's yours. Seeing it in a real browser, on your own phone and laptop, tends to surface useful feedback that a flat image mockup wouldn't.

4. Revise

A set number of revision rounds are included per tier — see the Pricing page for exact figures. Specific, concrete feedback ("make the hero headline shorter" rather than "make it pop more") tends to produce the fastest, most accurate next draft.

5. Launch

Once you're happy with it, the site goes live on your domain — or a temporary one of ours if your own domain isn't set up yet, with an easy switch once it is. From there, the site is yours to use, update, or hand off to someone else to maintain.

What Makes This Different From Hiring a Freelancer Directly

Hiring a freelance developer directly usually means negotiating scope, timeline, and price individually for your project — which can work well, but also means more variables to get right before work even starts. A fixed-tier, done-for-you process trades some of that flexibility for predictability: you know the price, the page count, and the general timeline before you commit to anything.

What We Need From You to Move Quickly

The single biggest factor in how smoothly a build goes is how specific the intake form answers are. A rough sense of what you do, a few example sites you genuinely like the feel of, and any existing photos or work samples — even imperfect ones — give the first draft a real head start. The less specific the input, the more the first draft has to guess, and the more revision rounds it typically takes to land somewhere you're happy with.

What Happens After Launch

Once your site is live, it's genuinely yours — there's no ongoing fee tied to the build itself, separate from whatever hosting arrangement you choose. If you want help with updates or maintenance down the line, that's a separate conversation you can start any time through the Contact page.

Exact turnaround days and revision counts per tier are placeholders pending real business confirmation — see /pricing for current values and PROGRESS.md for status.
